The sport driver could of taken the turn so much quicker, perhaps some more power and not crossing his hands!!

Lovely. The crackle from the Merlin almost bought tears to my eyes. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Ahhhh - this all makes sense now.

I live literally next door to the Goodwood Airfield (you can see my house from the aerial shots about a minute in), and I remember a helicopter flying around clearly filming a Spitfire doing aerobatics of some sort during July....

It must have been this!!

We regularly get impromptu aerobatic displays from the comfort of our living room, and Spitfires are very common. Having a Spitfire coming into land, flying about 50ft over your back garden is AWESOME.

Drives the dog bonkers mind you!!

Laughing

The local residents association (aka "Chichester Millitia") DO complain.

The fact that the airfield, flying Spitfires (and lots of other historic aircraft), was there about 35 years before their houses were even built makes no odds....apparently.

I, on the other hand, think it's great!!

Very Happy

Have to say, they do sound quite magnificent. One flew right over my house in the summer, I struggled to catch it in time in the sunlight with the iPhone...link below:
