Change fuel filter

hi all new member here 1st post. I want to change the fuel filter/s on my diesel 57 GS. Is there or 2 filters.

have been looking at site for sometime, find interesting 57 reg GS leather seats panoramic sun roof
Nazca sand side step rails chrome grille and mirrors

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Izmir Blue

One filter - front of engine, slightly off centre to the left and close to the top with four (from memory) pipes connected to it You have to unbolt the protection plate to get at it. The part no is LR001313 - google will give you the image etc. Thumbs Up

May I reccomend you search for 'changing the diesel filter' there's definitive instructions and its so easy.

Thanks all for your replies and knowledge.
So far with the help of this site I have changed oil and filter/ cabin filter and air filter next job fuel filter.
Have had the car 3 years and love it but like to service myself when possible just covered 42K 57 reg GS leather seats panoramic sun roof

Might I suggest reading up on changing Glow Plugs ready for your November instalment!
An easy job that will test your patience!

Thanks Fred My patience was tested on the oil filter change, with hands like shovels and a bit of knuckle scrapping, job was done knowing at least the filter as been changed.
As regards the glow plugs i will check procedure out but first I must have a go at the diesel filter thanks Mike 57 reg GS leather seats panoramic sun roof
