Seen two Freelanders now Freelander 2.e On the tailgate what does the e mean ?

It means Eco. It has stop/start that was introduced in the spring of 2009 to cut carbon emissions.

Yep, that's the 4WD manual with stop/start technology. For some reason. LR have stopped doing TD4.e, and they have changed back to TD4 manual with stop/start.
