rear wiper and aircon issues.

Can anyone give any advice on my air con for my FL2 07. It does not seem to be the coldest in the world and wondered if I just need it re gassing, is there anything else I can look at. Also the passenger centre vent does not seem to blow any air out at all.

Secondly my rear window wiper has failed, I assume motor malfunction, are they easy to fit at home, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the Air Con - may need a re-gas.

My rear wiper packed up on my previous FL2. Took it to bits and found that the motor had 'popped out' of its mounting because the gearing had seized. Motor worked ok when removed but when I took the cover off the gear housing it was covered in gunk. Looked like old grease. Cleaned it all off, re greased and refitted motor - worked fine.

One tip - when you take the cover off the wiper gearing - take note of where everything goes Big Cry takes ages to figure out how it rotates both ways!

Thank you, is it a do it yourself job or give it to the experts?

Rear wiper is a relatively easy job to fix if the gearing is ceased. As with everything if your not sure take it to a local garage.

Get the rear wiper fixed asap - there was one reported fire caused by a faulty one.
I was surprised to find mine quite hot when it packed in, seemed it had been trying to park itself in the correct position even when the ignition was off and the car was locked.

It's not a difficult job though, just a bit fiddly and messy. 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual
