Hi All,

It looks like there is some interest, so when I return from running a 50 van caravan rally at The Cheshire Agricultural Show at Tably near Knutsford in Cheshire I will analyse the response and decide if it is worthwhile taking this any further.

CG to note I am trying to educate caravaners as to how important farming is to the UK.

Hi everybody,

Back from the Cheshire Show were 50+ outfits were sited from Sunday 16th June to Friday 21st June with not an electric hook up or toilet block in site. However 90% of the outfits were using solar panels to top up their batteries.
You can now buy a folding 100 watt solar panel complete with hard cover for just on £200.00 and these will actually give enough charge on a clear day to completely top up a 110 amp/hour leisure battery.

However on to the business in hand.
15 members have shown an interest with all bar one asking for electric hook ups and with 7 preferring a Caravan Club serviced site.

Of the 6 members who replied and also gave their location 4 are in the North East, 1 is "round and about" and myself in the North West so can we now decide were we would like to meet and again I will have to ask npink to help with this as not sure if we now have to start a fresh topic but would suggest we start of with the following.
1-Northumberland/Yorkshire
2-Cumbria/Lancashire.
3-Midlands.
4-Wales, North or South
5-South East or West
6-Devon or Cornwall
7-Other

Look forward to your thoughts and can see this could end up like knitting fog.

Wash your mouth out.!

Seriously I am investigating commercial sites as you will see from the second thread, and perhaps you could combine this meet as part of your holidays.
