Mobile text scam

Censored Evil or Very Mad
Thought I would check my Vodaphone mobile bill online and within a period of 2 days I supposedly received 14 premium texts at £1.25 each.
Now't I can do but pay up, the culprit is 'gogogy' and Mr Vodaphone said I must have clicked on their advertisement while browsing the internet, liked what I saw and inputted my mobile number, then supposedly received a free text and I reply OK to receive more at the premium rate Exclamation , what crap and I have never even received the text messages.
Never happened to me before and Vodaphone have put a bar on premium SMS for me, the thing is it could have run into quite a bit at 7 a day if I hadn't checked my usage online.

Bought a new Vodaphone pay as you go for home use about 4 years ago.
Went outside the shop, turned it on, and recieved a premium rate ringtone within 5 mins.
Long story short, 6 months of haggling, cancelled direct debit, cancelled work phone that was also on Vodaphone (£300 - £800 per month as most of the calls were to/from abroad), legal letters.

Eventually told my a manager that they reuse old numbers and that it was possibly a hangup from the previous user of that number, this despite being told in writing that that was not possible.

Wouldn't use Vodaphone if they were the last provider available. They are the only provider with signal at our home and have done without mobile coverage for years, until 4 months ago when we got a router from 3. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
