Freelander 2 2011 facelift automatic gearbox

Crying or Very sad I have a Freelander 2 2011 Automatic that I have just acquired. There is a tinny whirring noise that appears to come from the gearbox. This noise is only evident when accelerating and gets faster with an increas in speed, as soon as you ease off the throttle it stops and it does not appear when the vehicle is stationery.
I would welcome any ideas
