Went to look at a new évoque at the dealers today and both came to the conclusion that it want the car for us. However in the show room was a discovery in back with black wheels and black badges. It looked awesome. However out of our price range.

So for the time being we are thinking of adding black wheels and badges to our 2011 fl2.

Anyone got any photos of a black XS with black wheels ?
Or I could post a picture of our car is some could photoshop the wheels ??

A black on black Evoque I saw could have been the temptation I needed to go back to black, only if it wasn't so small Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

To be honest, black wheels on a black car just look wrong, black wheels just look wrong anyway especially on a large car that is not sporty like the FL2. But that's my opinion.

We were very disappointed with the évoque. I like the look from the front but that's where it stopped.
The cost to change would make us feel like we were stepping down.

Reading the baby rr forum was quite an insite too.

The Evoque looks like an Elephant has sat on the rear end, it's hideous! However, I do like the front of the car and the interior.

I was actually surprised that I didn't like the interior of the D4 and Range Rover (didn't have an RRS in the showroom). The D4s dashboard was too high and it didn't feel as big as the FL2 inside. The new RRs cabin was also a dissapointment, it felt smaller inside than the FL2! I was certainly glad to get back in my FL2!

Black on black is wrong, be it Fl2 or Evoque, just my thoughts.

Yes reading the babyRR forum doesn't paint a good picture of the Evoque, I've just came back to a Fl2 after having an Evoque and spending over a year on said forum. The Evoque is a fantastic car, if that's the type of vehicle you're after, a few owners on there have never owned a LR before and expected it to be like a hot hatch. The main critism is the same as on here dealership/LR customer care, spoils an otherwise good car. Many on there are new to the brand and haven't done there homework, came from German manufacturers and rant on about there reliability yet bought a car from a manufacturer that has finished bottom of every customer satisfaction survey for the last 15+ years.

Anyway back on subject, I would go for shadow chrome. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

These wheels are the same but are all black (standard on the MY13 dynamic);



Tbh, I much prefer the wheels on your FL2. That is the problem I have with the HSE LUX, LR don't give you another choice of wheels, I would have to specify in my order that I wanted the wheels on my current FL2, not black ones. Or I'd either have to buy an HSE if I was buying second hand.

I have to say I came kicking and screaming from the BMW brand. The wife wanted a Freelander and I didn't.
Woman always win.

Anyway I now love the 4x4 of the Freelander and felt the évoque missed that chunckieness.
I hate the rip off service costs of the Freelander and the dealers attitude stinks.
The supplying dealer couldn't even be bothered to park it the right way round for us to drive off in.

Going to give it a go. If I don't like I will get the wheels and vents changed back. Not a lot to loose.
