leak underneath.

Went down to pick up van from storage, once hooked up I noticed a drip from under the car (drivers side) it semed to be coming from the heat shield for the exhaust.no over heating issues or lack of power or performance.any thoughts appreciated.

Sounds like its water condensation from your air conditioning. Did you have / had on the air con at the time / before you parked up. If the answers yet then I would say its just condensation produced by the air con unit, which is nothing to worry about, in my opinion.

When I first went to Florida many, many years ago, I spent the first few hours pointing out to drivers the water leaking from their cars at traffic lights. Embarassed Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I haven't noticed this on my FR2 but when I had a Cherokee with fierce aircon people were always coming up to me in car parks looking worried but helpful and pointing out the stream of water under the car. I used to tell them "they all do that".

If the leak is still there try to get some on the end of your finger and see what colour the liquid is.

Clear, colourless and its almost certainly air con condensate. Pink or yellow then it may be rad coolant etc.

I would bet on what others have said re air con.
