After placing order at end of March, I finally got my new FL2 this afternoon. Dealer told me early in month that it was built but it sat in compound waiting for transport north for nearly 3 weeks!

First impressions are that car is a lot quieter than last one, but suspension seems stiffer. It is better cornering on country roads but you seem to feel every bump. Once car beds in perhaps this will improve. SWMBO thinks the passenger seat is shorter and not as comfortable. New dash is lovely and looks logical in layout, although bottom half is as per old car.

Have yet to read manual but have found my way round most things. The sat nav doesn't look that different and it seems the 3 route option has gone. Audio system is much better than alpine one in old car.

I debated long and hard about changing old car as it was almost faultless in 6 years use, but the changes for MY13 was just enough to make it feel a bit different and justify the expense to change.

Regarding colour, I was going to go for OG with ipanema as my second choice but am glad I opted for ipanema after comparing them side by side at dealer. OG seems a flatter less metallic finish to my old stornoway grey one. Couldn't go for black as there are too many of them about and we have one black car already and it shows up the dirt too much.
You don't see too many Ipanema FL2 about but it seems popular with FFRR around here.

A great write up. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as the old one. I'm only on my first FL2, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. It would be great to see some pictures at some point, as you don't see many Ipanema sand FL2s.

glad im not the only one that think Orkney Grey is flatter than stornoway Grey, when i first saw it i thought it wasn't popping as much

Ipanema Sand is really nice, saw a D4 yesterday in that colour and thought  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
