Anyone received one of these from a dealer in last couple of months?

I was told in March that the system was changing (which was discussed here on another thread) but that there would be a new system in place very soon. I know another forum member had the same story from the same dealer.

I'm about to remind them and chase up the voucher (or whatever replaces the voucher) but before I do I thought I'd check the membership.

Apparently any LRE vouchers in circulation will be honored (I have one booked in Dunkeld in July).

There is mention of a two tier system now - Prospects and Customers. If you are a 'Prospect' then you will be offered a 1 hour 'experience'. If however you buy a vehicle you will get the offer of a LRE, but Land Rover will call you to arrange and book.

I believe this system has been put in place as too many people were abusing the old system (e.g selling the vouchers on eBay). At the end of the day it's the issuing dealer who's covered the cost of of the LRE, so why should they pay for said abuse. I think this new system is much fairer to both them (the dealer) and us (the customer).

Just booked mine for July at the Cheshire site. Bit miffed that apparently Solihull don't do it as its round the corner from us Anyway, no trouble at all using the old style vouchers and I am really looking forward to it - I chose the new RR - well lets face it, my FL will probably never go off road except at the Sunday carboot or a blast on a vehicle friendly beach maybe. And lets be perfectly up front, unless those six little numbers come in it'll be the only time we ever get to drive such a car. We were given 2 x vouchers by Stratstone so a couple of friends coming as well, they got a Disco to play with.

On another note - who the hell would sell a voucher like this on ebay - must be mad.......or getting mid 20's MPG

Interesting as well that following the email confirmation from LR, a second email arrived offering a full days driving upgrade, lunch and overnight B&B stay at the castle, all for £235 per couple. Definitely tempted but prior engagement prevented.

Thanks everyone. I too heard mention of June, so I may wait a couple more weeks before I chase it. Time is not so sensitive an issue as I would always book for winter months anyway.
