Boot Lock

whats wrong with my tail gate lock? opens with the (boot lid)button on the keyfob no problem, it wont unlock with the unlock all the doors button or the little boot lid button on the boot lid itself, in short I can only get into the back of the car via the boot release button on the keyfob. It was working fine upto last night.
