One of the first things I tried after getting the FL2 - the car just stalled when it hit a slope! And that was in first, which is significantly lower than reverse. I think this is partly because the engine was cold, but then it generally is when one is leaving one's driveway, as per the OP. Basically, the anti-stall has its limits. I find that the FL2 can get up pretty much any on-road slope forwards with the clutch fully home, but reversing up can require some slip. The trick is to minimise engine revs, and thus slip, without actually allowing the thing to stall. |

True - iirc it's close to mid way between first and second, which is far too high. I've seen it suggested that it's as high as it is because there wasn't room in the box for a larger cog! But whether that's true or just urban legend I couldn't say. |

Good Evening everyone,today i had to reverse up a narrow uneven track ,my clutch started smelling and smoke came from under the car ,it was absolutely stinking almost like old burnt cabbage ,,car is ok 👌🏿 driving on the road slight shudder in first and second pulling away building up speed ,but i had had this for quite a long time ,the burning smell was just today |
