United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Tow bar electrics

I bought a genuine land rover tow bar complete with electrics off eBay I have fitted then pluged all electrics in put fuses in but nothing works ie trailer board just won't light up does it have to go to the dealers to get the computer to tell it to work

Yes, you need it enabled, about £60 seems to be the going rate. Or try some of the larger Towbar installers, some of them have the required enablers Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Dealers are expensive.

Guys with Faultmates charge from £40 upwards.

Better off with a local Land Rover Independent with an Autologic. Find they charge £25 plus.
