It depends when the car is registered, a MY13 car is the latest spec but old stock could also be registered with a 13 plate for example.
James would be the one to ask, you thinking Disco now?

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Mauritius Blue

My new (ex-Demo) MY13 was registered on the 30 Jan 2013 and has a 62 plate. There were also others that were registered in Nov 2012 shown as MY13 again obviously with 62 plates.

Hope that helps? Joanne

shame you can't search on MY year and interior colour option too Evil or Very Mad

Just looking Taz, gauging prices, think I am going to head towards a Disco4 if funds permit, thought RRS but no SE's around as they stopped making them last year, and with the new RRS coming out and the fact it doesn't have the low range gear box unless your paying top price high spec version, and the cost of the newer version is way more than i would want to spend, even in another 4 years.

So Disco4, its extra space, for me and the kids and the extra seats have been coming in handy with my dad new D4, so i think its a wiser option, if funds can't be pushed to D4 then its a FL2, but not sure if i want the current design Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Couldn't you hold on to your current FL2 until the FL3 comes out? I might keep my 2011 HSE until 2015 or change to an MY14 next year.

Nothing, just think it hasn't changed enough outside to make it feel like a change after having 2 already Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think it has changed considerably since its original release in 2007. Even the 2011 facelift improved the exterior IMHO. Now with the LED lights and new interior, a lot has changed. Bt that's my opinion. Good luck with your search. Thumbs Up

It's not that it hasn't changed, I think the new dynamic body kit added to a HsE would be enough to temp me back if I can't find a D4 on budget. Early days anyway Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black

While I was looking there were quite a few RRS's with low milage to be had at 'reasonable' prices. It was just that I wanted black with black interior & paddle shift along with the low miles & reasonable price.

If you don't mind light coloured interiors & exteriors, then there's plenty of choice.

I'm loving mine & it's averaging a whole 32mpg on mixed road driving. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

I've used RRS the low range box a total of zero times.

Only ever used in on defenders when towing diesel bowser trailers over river flood banks, ( thats a job with less than no margin for error -spill diesel loose the fuel value , get fined by the environment agency, murdered by the fishermen, ostracised by the locals for making the river stink, murdered again by more fishermen, fined again ,imprisoned , fined some more and murdered again - not for me its easier to select low )

I no longer use a diesel irrigation pump its not worth the fines and repeated death

I tell a lie I tried low range, whilst descending hardknot pass in the RRS, not much gain, then you come to a flat bit and need to stop the change back to high , meanwhile there is a nissan bluebird taxi tailgating wondering why you stop in the middle of the road for no apparent reason.

parked next to an fl2 at the bottom its brakes were well over heated and stinking, rrs brakes were normalish temp, but thats not scientific maybe the fl2 driver rode the brakes all the way down? At work
