United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Gear box oil

Does anyone know if you can use Castrol MTF 90 to top up the manual gearbox of the Fr-2, The manual states use Castrol MTF 97309. I have MTF 90 left over from my Fr-1 and need to know if I can use it. Don't know if these are the same oil or diff spec.
Would be greatful for any help,

Don't use it as it is a different oil - it will probably not destroy your gearbox but you should rather use the recommended one.

Thanks for putting me right Michal.
All these diff. oils are confusing at times. Looks like I will have to go out and buy some new stuff.
