Starting issues

New fl2 arriving soon and I don't want to send Mrs George out in it while there are doubts if it will start or not.
So I'm trying to gauge how many cars have troubles and how many don't

Thanks for your replies

Ps. I'm rather busy for next few days so if any of you are passing Ripon Land-Rover do me a favour , pop in and pay for my car could you. Laughing

No trouble either, not even the trip reset or any other glitch.

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

I found out something the other day while not thinking straight. I was starting the car without having my brain in gear first, and hadn't fully pressed the clutch. This caused the car not to start when I pressed the button. I reckon the clutch was about 1cm from the floor. pushed the clutch in fully and it worked fine.

I was wondering if the people who are have start issues, if they have a more sensitive switch on the clutch pedal to tell it it's pressed.

I can't remember if you get a different message when the clutch isn't pressed, but might be worth people trying and seeing.

No problems starting - but I had a problem with the fobs after I had left the locked Freelander in my garage for five weeks!
