Sat Nav location icon flashing

Bit of a strange one but sat nav screen shows the position of the car as a circle and triangle. But as I drive around the icon flashes on and off. I assume it's some way of showing its tracking the car or something. But is there anyway to stop this flashing and just get it to stay in screen all the time?

Yes buy a proper sat nav. Tom Tom or Garmin and switch off built in unit.

Rolling with laughter yeah true...

i use to reprogram the BMW sat nav's so i'll add it to my list of things to attempt to fix...

Better start with Speed Cameras. As the data comes from NavTeq it shouldn't be that hard replacing one of the POI's with the speed camera ones... Then I would need to add an alert, but alerts are already in the system for destinations so it must be possible...
