Got my nickname after a RTA on a motorcycle in 1976.
I didn't become a 'pegleg' as various bits of metal, bone grafts and a skilled surgeon saved my legs, just.
But as I spent a long time afterwards hobbling around on crutches and sticks, my mates called me pegleg. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

My mum never let me have a motorcycle. But to be honest I didn't want one. I prefer cars, there is more stuff to upgrade.
