It did keep dulling down then lighting up on white balance, but I upped the brightness slightly after and that looked better on a quick test

With it been wifi you also can link it to the iphone/ipad and see it view, wish I had worked out how prior to pulling the stick backing off Sad

Overall, very happy, ...... Well now I am Laughing ..... Will reposition it if my car change doesn't happen as soon as I want, to get rid of the black dots and the rear view mirror cover Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Even though it's a dull day, it looks like it is exposing for the sky and under exposing the important bits to me "just my humble opinion" Smile
I had the same problem with mine, I even upped the brightness setting to halfway, but in the end I had to bite to bullet and angle it down so the whole of the air vent along the top of the dash was visible in the video. That gives about 20% sky 80% earth. Unfortunately, it allows a couple of reflections to creep in "only really noticeable around dusk" but gets the exposure spot on for both day and night driving. Thumbs Up

Yes, I see what you mean. There is an improvement, but it looks like you definitely need to move the camera to a more central position.
I've posted a short video clip from yesterday to give you some idea of the position I have mine set at, which is right behind the rear view mirror and just about as central as I could get it. Looking at the rear view mirror from the drivers seat, I can just about see the Micro SD Card slot
I have the previous model to you 'DR400G-HD II, so not sure if you have a more wide-angle field of view. I think mine is 120° Thumbs Up

I was a little concerns with it been too visible, but agree it does need moving,

I may have a look at moving it, but I also am in negotiations with the boss on when I'm getting my new car, so might make do till then Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Here's the transcript...

"Darling" said Nick
"Have you seen the RRS in this colou........oowww, why did you throw that at me"

Rolling with laughter

Get some filter gel and stick that over the top half of the lens, it will darken the sky and keep the road bright.

I was concerned about it being very visible too, especially as my version was a nice bright silver with an even brighter chrome surround around the lens. At least it was, before I took it apart and sprayed it a couple of times with a can of matt black Plasti-coat. You can barely notice it now and looks like it was made that way. Very Happy
