Cheers mate. Good to know.

Now I'm wondering if the experience will be the same for each category?

Whenever I've had a freebie I've always done the driving, the instructor normally does a short demonstration then the rest of the time is yours. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I don't know if it's different at skipton but there you are driven round and shown what the vehicle will do, but you have to pay an upgrade price if you wanted to drive yourself . After a short demo on rd from the instructor. My11 freelander 2, xs, Manual, 18" hse sparkles, sidesteps, privacy, zermatt silver metallic, almond nutmeg alacantra, twin electric towbar

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Lago Grey

Hi

I checked very carefully when booking our freebie 1/2 day at Rockinghm that we would have an instructor with a Freelander 2 HSE (auto Confused ) just for my wife and myself alone, both being able to drive offroad after the instructors demostration. Had this not been he case we would have paid the neccersary upgrade probably using Tesco vouchers.....Yes it is possible to use them worth double their face value too!!! Kola is the big solid black German Shepherd, Dobbie is.......a breed you've never heard of......yet;)

I've been to Coniston Cold twice, apart from a short demo by the instructor on the hill in front of the hotel and one loop of the serious course with the elephants feet , all the driving on and off road was done by us, that's using the freebie tickets,

I wonder if LR pulling out of freebies will affect the profitability of the centres either plus or minus ?

To be fair it's a nice morning for free but I wouldn't pay my own money for the content of the free course, I think the upgrade involves a lot more time with you driving on the big off road course on the right hand side.

Me I'd take the freebie and spend the upgrade on a nice lunch in the hotel, and If you're not already a shot , a shooting lesson in the afternoon Very Happy there is something nice about blasting down to the big log built clubhouse in your Freelander Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
