iPhone/iPad/Android Forum App?

Apologies if this has been covered before; I did try a search but this yielded nothing, hence the question.

Are there any plans in the pipeline to develop an App dedicated to this rather splendid forum? If not, are any of you tech-savvy enough to know how to begin designing one of these? What are the cost implications? Is it something that if it was received well enough, could contributors (and LR!) donate towards design and implementation?

Just wondering...... Whistle Foraging near Gaydon....

There is an app called touch bb that workson the iPad, try the free version first.
Otherwise I think it involves a complete new forum to work like the babyrrs forum does.
Personally on iPad I get on well with the normal version.

It would be nice to have an IPad app, but to be honest I'm quite happy with the forum as it is.

I just have to magnify all the text! Razz

Why do you need an app?
I open up Safari where the forum has been placed on my bookmarks bar and it comes right up on new posts. Job done! Ralph

I have the "New Posts" web page added to my home screen.

I get straight in there with one tap on my iPhone and iPad.

One advantage of an app is you can read if offline. Not a biggie for me, but for those who spend more time disconnected might be useful. FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green
