Hi,

I've seen on youtube a video of a Milltek exhaust fitted on a Freelander 2 SD4.
But on the Milltek website there is only an exhaust line for the Evoque.

I know the chassis is the same, but is the exhaust line the same between the FL2 and the Evoque ?


So do you think that we can fit the Evoque exhaust line on the Freelander 2 ?

Not for me anyway, it's for boy racers which FL2 ain't  Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

you wouldn't put expensive French lingerie on a fat woman, why put a "sports" exhaust on a diesel?

Only about 30% of the Freelander chassis is shared with an Evoque. I'm not sure an Evoque exhaust would fit a Freelander without some modification but more than happy to be proved wrong.

I don't understand why you are so angry about a performing exhaust...

if you consider it as a race exhaust I can understand your point of view.
But look at all the offroad preparation you can have on a Pajero and other, the exhaust is not the stock one.
Right now I have not found a simple exhaust made by an offroad brand for the FL2.

I don't really think that the performance of the FL2 2.2 are amazing, so with a good exhaust line and a deFAP it could be a bit better...

i don't think anyone is been angry, but just disagreeing that a sports exhaust is needed on a diesel 4x4

Milltek exhaust will not make the blindest difference to a diesel car. Just stick a 3.2 rear silencer on and it will be just free it up a little.

But to answer your question :-

Sounds a little anti social, imagine revving it up like that outside your neighbours house I dont think they would be very pleased, well mine wouldnt be.
Manufacturers spend thousands developing exhaust systems so its quiet, then folk want it noisy, if its noisy they want it quiet, wonder what will happen when we're all electric? a noise CD on a speaker out the back?

Im sure they could do a performance exhaust with the same noise as a standard system, but I think its just about folk wanting the noise so everyone turns and looks and nothing more.

It won't be much louder, not chav loud. To be honest, after hearing 3 pot diesels with different pipes on they don't make much difference.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the money.

If you 're after extra performance, a good quality re-mapper will cure that for you. No need to change the exhaust, the FL pipe is pretty freeflowing anyway (not including DPF fitted cars) Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
