Intermittent Horn fault -Advisory

I had forgotten I had this, last year my horn stopped working on the way home from London, checked fuses etc when I got home and all was well and the horn worked as well?
Mentioned it to the dealers at service time and the Service Manager thought he recalled there being a problem with the horn, the notice is attached,

worth checking your own cars, if nothing else it will show that you dont have the rogue software update.

You must have been having a bad day if you used the horn more than 5 times in one journey ! I'm off to test mine and annoy the neighbours.

Hi Taz

Had then same problem, following a rather eventual journey home one afternoon, had to use the horn on a number of occasions because a Censored in a bling'd up Saxo keep'd cutting me up on the A19, after five goes with the horn, it stopped working. Tried this again when I got home and yes five blasts and it stops. Shocked Shocked

Have had it up at TVLR. And they confirmed a Technical Bulletin had been issued by LR. Horn is fixed now, but after every service I check it works by pressing the two buttons at he same time as per instructions from TVLRV Thumbs Up

Just tried this

I did it left button six times, right button six times

Did it about 1 second burst each time, but it didn't cut out

Was I supposed to be doing six time pressing both button Idea

Not sure if I was doing it wrong or I have not got the fault Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I have not had that problem....I had a really embarrassing situation of pressing my horn to toot at the wife as I drove past her to find my horn stuck on Embarassed
I drove over a mile with the horn blasting in my local town with everyone looking.
All I could do was keep banging the bloody button until it stopped, think it jammed inside not touched it since and the car goes away for good tomorrow thank god.

Think it says both horn buttons 5 times if it works a sixth time you dont have a problem.
