just read in lroi thatcham done a test on fl2 and it didnt fair well they said it suffers from expensive damage in collisions as slow as 6mph. Well, the Freely 2 has very successfully passed the European NAP-crash test at 54 kmh with the highest possible rating of 5 stars. BMW X3 has never passed this test, and the VW Tiguan is due for this crash test in the near future.
That you have some damage after any sort of collision is, I believe, normal. In Germany the insurance premium for automobiles is also dependent on the repair cost of a "standard crash". Yet, the Freely 2 insurance cost are reasonable from which I conclude that the repair cost cannot be exorbitantly high.

I got rear ended back in November and the only damage was a minor scratch on the bumper bar. However due to the grey plastic texture the smash-repairers can't fix it so its a new bumper for me.... at $1800 later!

Not my problem because the accident wasn't my fault and the lady who hit me is fully insured as am I. 2007 TD4 SE
