If you leave the HEVAC on "Auto" does the compressor run? John

Supposedly yes (if you have Climate Control), 'Auto' chooses the best modes for comfort and the humidity sensor brings in the A/C when needed for keeping the windows clear and the air dry, but I never see the A/C led lit but this may be the way it is wired as it lights when pressed or the 'Prog' button is pressed.

Thinking about it you must be right as I think that pressing the "Economy" button turns the A/C off. I only asked because I always leave mine on Auto in the belief that the compressor gets an occasional spin. John

How cold should the air be that comes out of the vents? I placed a mercury thermometer infront of a vent today and it showed 8 degrees, does that sound right or should it be cooler? Also, should you get the aircon serviced every year or is that a myth? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
