Supposedly yes (if you have Climate Control), 'Auto' chooses the best modes for comfort and the humidity sensor brings in the A/C when needed for keeping the windows clear and the air dry, but I never see the A/C led lit but this may be the way it is wired as it lights when pressed or the 'Prog' button is pressed. |

Thinking about it you must be right as I think that pressing the "Economy" button turns the A/C off. I only asked because I always leave mine on Auto in the belief that the compressor gets an occasional spin. John

How cold should the air be that comes out of the vents? I placed a mercury thermometer infront of a vent today and it showed 8 degrees, does that sound right or should it be cooler? Also, should you get the aircon serviced every year or is that a myth? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
