Honest answer do not know, you could and almost inevitably did on FL1.

We tried this when the prop failed on our disco 2. It wouldn't run as the centre diff couldn't lock.

Thanks for your replies lads. I had a feeling the electronics / computer would stop me doing this. Back to the drawing board then. |

When the Haldex is malfunctioning (see Haldex problems with Traction Reduced messages), the system is "disconnecting" it and therefore you have a front wheel drive car. "Disconnecting" Haldex is the same with removing prop-shaft.
