I had a slow puncture in both rear tyres and have had them fixed, I'm waiting to get the van hooked up to see if that may have sorted it.
Had towbar checked out and measurements are about right so fingers crossed

I have a after market witter towbar too. my dash light does not work either, i have a beep from the back of the car for indicators. It is wired via a separate relay switch and not LR dedicated, therefore did not require any re-programming from dealer.

The fitter told me that the dash trailer light would not work, but thats the way it is with that after market system.

If you want LR towbar then pay the £650, i stuck with £250 witter and no light.

I can live with that!

Again you don't have to buy through Land Rover, mine was through the local 'tow' depot who supplied and fitted a removable Witter and dedicated looms for £400 then switched the options on themselves.
It is more benefit for a car with an auto box where it will adjust gear changes to loading when towing a 'van'.

Trailer assist on the Freely, no ones really sure of, it has been said it adjusts the brakes etc for towing, I'm not convinced on that, if you have a bike rack on the back with a light board how's it going to know what to adjust to allow for roughly 35kgs of bike or a two ton Iffor Williams

My understanding which might be right or might be wrong

Trailer assist uses a 'Yaw' sensor which I believe the Freely does not have. The 'Yaw' sensor will pick up forced and unusual sideways movement of the car in relation to steering direction. This is brought on by the swaying movement of anything being towed and will activate the correct wheel brake to try and bring the 'snaking' under control.

Obviously a bike rack or similar would not cause 'snaking' and would not activate the 'Yaw' sensor.

As said I don't think we have the sensor but D4's and RR's do, but am happy to be corrected.

With the Disco and such like, don't you also tell it what your pulling, I.e. length, single axle, twin axle, I've seen it mentioned somewhere, possibly on the MY13 HSE Lux
