2011 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey
New look of my Freel2! Mismatch?

I have tried a new look to my stornoway freel2 with startech styling kit inspired by 2012 sport styling kit. I replaced side vents with black ones and got a black grille.

Though it looked good on red car, I feel the colour combo is not matching when it comes to stowaway grey. Please post your opinions. I am itching to replace the silver vents and grille as I feel car lost its finesse.

agreed put silver back on. I would also re silver the red car in the sales picture, not liking the black trim/normal paint at all, black on black is ok At work

i've been looking at the pictures on and off all morning

im not sure if its the different angles the photos have been taken from, or the fact im unsure about the black trim

hard to say, but if it was me then i would have done it differently, Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

i knew you were going to ask me that Twisted Evil

its hard to say as i think the current look would suit a White FL2 more, gloss black with glossy white is a good look

On grey.... I would have looked at colour coding the exterior surround to the same grey to match the car, as the matt grey with gloss black doesn't work fully against the glossy grey

Maybe gloss black the mirrors too

on the side vents... Match the front, so matt grey surround with gloss black mesh or gloss grey surround with gloss black mesh Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think for it to work with silver you would have to have more black, not just the vents as its sticking out a bit like a sore thumb.

I would go back to silver side vents and grill on a Stornaway car. But the Startech front spoiler looks really good. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I like it, keep it as you have done it, i think it all contrasts well especially the front grill.
Nice job, breaks up the blandness of all one colour Thumbs Up

Personally, I would change the side vents back to silver. I would leave the grille as it suits the car. Thumbs Up
