Satnav query

So, in Glasgow, we have a new motorway and bypass joining the M8 to M74. Interesting today that my MY13's in built satnav doesn't have this road, despite it being in use for over a year now.

Would the maps installed at factory be the most up to date that there are currently available, or should I be looking to either have the dealer update, or buy elsewhere?

MY13 sat nav is a hard disc drive system.
Mapping in your vehicle will be the most up to date available at the time of build, unlikely the Dealer will have an update available yet but it might be worth asking.

Worth noting - I asked my dealer about updates now the discs are no longer available for the new Meridian system. Apparently it's a trip to them, they will do the upgrade - and then charge you £130. Correct me if I'm wrong but this was the charge for the original discs! That’s progress... Sad

Far from it when you consider most systems are starting to do over air now as its the next big app market. Oppertunity missed.

One thing I will say is that new maps are normally 12 to 24 months behind so a new map may not mean the road is shown.
