Has anybody removed the plastic covers that surround the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. The buttons on my FL2 are sticky and was wondering if the covers can be removed to inspect buttons or find that there is some dirt causing the problem.

Dave007 thanks for that but not sure if I have to remove airbag as the problem parts are at either side of it. Was wondering if the covers that surround the cruise control buttons are just clipped on or if it is a more intense dismantling job.I didn't want to force it and find out that it snaps because of some hidden screw or something. Be gratefull if anybody has any more info on this.

Worth looking at this topic explains how to remove the airbag so you can change the relevant steering wheel control unit, which according to the post are on eBay for about £15 .

Defenderben, thanks for that.It certainly looks like I will have to remove the airbag to have a look at the cruise control buttons. Will purchase the required tool to remove it and see how it goes. |
