Mine is Lago Grey, covered in swirls, washed by myself with one bucket when it's above 18 degrees and anything below that by Eastern Europeans.

Looking to have a posh valet done before the summer then I'll start to ruin it all over again.

Lago grey is a great colour! Bow down I might get mine valeted before I go to Spain in the summer, and then get it washed when I come back. I might give it a wash during the summer if it isn't a washout like last year. How long have you had your FL2?

Since new, February 2011.
I love the car looking good and go about it with the best intentions, then I get bored and cut corners Smile

I can confirm that EY's car is indeed covered in swirls Whistle

Pappa, how you wash Santorini is the key to begin with. It shows swirls terrible. I even instruct my dealer not to wash it when the car goes for a service. Other colours don't show it as much even though the swirls are there.
For polish, i use Meguiar's Deep Crystal, it works great with Black and for wax i use Meguiar's Carnauba Plus. I did try a 'wrap' but it looked awful on Black.

There are many on this forum who may offer advice Thumbs Up

Indeed you can Pegleg, one bucket that lasts the whole wash, one brush, hose down and one '5 for a pound' drying cloth.

I taught the Eastern Europeans all they know Thumbs Up

.. and I can offer advice for free Laughing

Well, I gave mine a single coat of AG HD Wax the 1st week of October 2012, and apart from a Jetwash once a month and a goodwill valet by Stratstone when it had a Healthcheck in January, I haven't bothered to clean it properly at all. Still scrubs up ok, even after all the recent crappy weather, so testament to the depth of paint more than anything methinks. Thumbs Up

Taken on Saturday after Shell Southam's finest 」2 Jetwash and a Microfibre towel down. Oh, and a quick squirt of tyre dressing...Who needs Romanians?!? Laughing

Yes Greg, will be using a Meguires DA with Chemical Guys pads will try the the Megs105 polish as it seems to be enough to get rid of the swirls.
