Off to Malaysia for the F1

Two weeks to go and I'm off to the F1 at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia.
This will be my first F1 at the Sepang Circuit usually I go there for the MotoGP (5 in total and 2 at the old Shah Alam Circuit) so I hope it doesn't rain and spoil what usually is a good race.
So I'll be sitting about middle of the back straight on the top tier from there you can see more than 1/2 the track and the rest you watch on the big screen.
I'll post some pics when I get back.

No I still will be there in October, but I'm a bit miffed on who to support now it will be down to either 2 or 3 Spaniards or an Italian. But if I was a betting man I would put my money on Lorenzo.

Stoner had his first V8 Supercar race last weekend in Adelaide and he had a DNF (stuck it into the wall) Rolling with laughter and 14th after starting from the back of the grid in the second race.
He is only racing in the 2nd tier version of the series at the moment but if drives a car like he rides a bike he will be in the main series next year.

I would love to go to Silverstone, I think it's one of the best Tracks / Races of the season.
I'm not a big fan of street circuits other than Monaco, that's why I giving Melbourne a miss this year.
Besides it's far cheaper for me to fly to Malaysia than Melbourne, airfares is about the same but when you factor in hotels, ticket prices, taxis and food etc... it's a no brainer.

Never been to an F1 race. The only one I would like to see live would be Monaco. I keep promising myself. One day..... Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I watched the Monaco gp live years ago, it was about £10 to perch on a steep hill side overlooking the harbour (somewhat steeper than its possible to comfortably sit on) , a great view however. Mansell pranged his ferrari on the first bend coming out of the tunnel if I recall. The noise was incredible we were directly to the rear of the pit lane and the valley seemed to bounce all the noise directly into my left ear.

It was so hot on that hill our cold beers boiled in their cool bag, a nice french man was selling cold cans of coke for about £1000000. but it was much better than silverstone.

I remember a whole bunch of people buying some tat from a f1 merchandise stall because the girl in hot pants kept turning round and bending right over to get more stuff out of a box. easily pleased us men Laughing

then in typical french style the local french trains had a strike, so we had to sneak onto the paris express to get out of monaco, get off at the first possible stop and get a taxi back to Antibes Rolling Eyes At work

Ive just upload a few photos of silverstone 2012 in the rain to my album for any1 that maybe intrested.

The photos were taken while saturdays qualifying was still underway, feel it clearly shows why button was calling for the race to be canceled with all the other problems silverstone had last year.

I only hope we dont have a repete this year.
