Where I live you can only park on the pavement if it is marked. It is rigourously enforced and they'll give you a ticket if you are just a couple of inches over the dotted line. The camera car comes down our street at 8.00 nearly every day and my neighbour has been ticketed for being over the line. I was picking up my mate once who lives in a narrowish road so I parked two wheels up on the pavement while I went in his house. I got a ticket. It was 7.45 on a Sunday morning. I also got a ticket for parking my scooter on the pavement outside a motorbike shop.

Mind you, there was a bit of a traffic jam in our local High Street once and the camera car (Smart car) was stuck in it when a group of tanked up drinkers came out of the pub. They turned it on it's side with the driver still in it. Rolling with laughter Bow down Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
