Anyone ever used a crevice tool for their vacs when getting in the tight spaces around the seats etc?

It's been delivered to work so I will try it on the works Henry first, if it knackers the Henry I'll know not to use it with my dyson! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Crevice tool arrived today at work. It was banana shaped from being in an envelope. Once it warmed up it straightend out. Ive tried it and for 6 quid its ok, can reach a few nooks and crannies with it, its slimmer than my dyson nozzle which is good. Only downside is that on the side of the tip is a large hole so when the vac is on its sucking air through two holes. I don't know why there is a hole on the side of it but once taped up the tool was pretty good at picking bits up.

For some reason of absolute design insanity, my Panasonic crevice tool also has an additional hole (albeit at the top approx. 3" from the nozzle tip). If anyone who has a kinky interest in vacuum cleaners is reading this and can enlighten both me and the OP as to why these cavities are here, please share. It seems absolutely insane to me, and I can only think that it's something to do with the despised H&S should a toddler put it in his/her mouth whilst it's powered on, thus allowing them to breathe a little. Foraging near Gaydon....

The hole is to stop the motor burning out. |
