Hard to say without hearing the sound. I would start by eliminating the "cheap and easy" obvious items. My first port of call would be the handbrake shoes to check that they are adjusted and seating properly. If not they can move a bit and may cause the clunk. Clean out the drum, re-adjust the handbrake shoes and see if there is an improvement.

I don’t think “Clemo902” has been here for quite a while........maybe the clonk turned into something more serious |

Check wheel bearings. I had the same issue and thought expensive fix, diff etc but turned out to be bearings. |

I had the clunking noise on my first Evoque (same as the FL2 underneath)
