no sound from my I pod

Hi
Just bought this FL2 1 week old and I am into my second problem.1st was rear wiper rusted solid
phoenix sending out new motor and relay.
Now I tried to get my I pod to work in its cradle I followed the instructions , pressed the aux button but nothing says ipod and no sound am I doing ow't wrong or is cradle F****d
most brain power will be greatfully accepted.
Confused

If its the genuine kit theres also a switch to turn it on. Its located in the glove box near the light Thumbs Up

Yep tried that said it has to be showing active and still no sound tried full volume still no sound my i pod is a 60 gig with movies Mini and Anglia restorer TDI don't have a F*****g Clue

Confused yep tried that still no sound and also noticed its not charging either so makes me think i need to follow the wiring.
