fault codes should still be stored, so the dealer should be able to still find the problem Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I had the same seat belt warning and airbag warning lights come on this weekend. Yes, both and it was for the passenger. Seems like it happens when a passenger is getting in and I am starting the vehicle at the same time, then the warning lights stay on. Somehow it gets confused. this doesn't happen with out a passenger. And once we reached our destination, if my passenger gets out and I restarted it, then problem goes away. Very weird ,... yet totally unacceptable. I expect way better from a luxury class SUV.

I have seen same problem and never knew what caused it. It has always gone away after a simple restart though, still not acceptable as you said for this suv. |

Now the problems isn't happening anymore and I can't reproduce it. So the dealer said that next time it happens, don't shut off the vehicle, rather, drive straight to service center and call them and leave it running so the technician can see the codes with the diag tool..

That's great but what do they expect us to do if it happens at 11 pm like it did with mine. They're closed they have to be more realistic, do they expect us to run the car all night long? |

I hear ya.. totally unreasonable. Its almost like they don't want to bother unless the error codes are flashing in their faces. Wouldn't want them to work too hard
