Best time to buy a secondhand FL2?

Is there a best time to buy a secondhand FL2 (or any 4WD)?

Getting a tad fed up looking for one now - dealers, and I'm talking about main dealers, just don't seem to be arsed with calling you back when you want to spend a piffling £15,000 - £20,000 on a secondhand FL2. Rolling Eyes

I'm thinking March/April when the new reg's are out and there's more second hand cars on the market plus winter and the threat of snow has gone.

Would that be a correct assumption?

Winter is definitely not a good time so I would hold fire if you can. Try to buy towards the end of the month when they are trying to reach sales targets if you can and be prepared to travel. I bought mine in May when everyone else was thinking about holidays and got a reasonable deal. I would try and buy from a Land Rover Main Dealer if you can-they are complicated vehicles and it is reassuring to have the years warranty included in the purchase price. I looked at some in the used car supermarkets but rejected them. They were cheaper for a reason! There are private cars for sale which are well worth a look. You also have the option to get a Main Dealer to inspect the car (at a price) and purchase the land rover warranty yourself. Best of luck with the search-my experience was the same as yours but I'm glad I persevered!
