Usualy one of the first bits to disappear when off-roading. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

I don't do much off-roading but want to remove it as I want a tow bar fitted. |

So why are you removing it for a towbar? You can fit a towbar and keep the skirt. You have to cut a section out like you have to do on the normal bumper, but LR do a cover for the skirt if you are fitting a detchable towbar.

So does anyone know how I can remove the lower rear bib spoiler? I have many reasons why I want to remove it. Not just for the benefit of having a towbar fitted. I'm also curious as to what it would look like. |

Can't help you other than go to the 'Topix' site http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm

If you want to know what it will look like, just have a look at every other Freelander that doesnt have the body kit. They are held on by the screws that you have removed, plus 3M double sided tape. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

So you are saying that you want to see what a Freelander looks like with all the kit except the rear skirt?

I just want to know what it'll look like. I just wanted to learn of the steps necessary to achieve this.

Looks to me like Mav's told you - remove the screws then it's held on by double-sided tape. You'll presumably then have to prise it off, risking leaving tape and paint behind, or use something like fishing line to cut through the tape. |

When tape was mentioned I thought you were joking. How do I know where the tape will be? |

As EY said, look on Topix and it shows you exactly where the tape should be....
