I'd never choose power over kit, especially 30 hp right at the top of the rev range which you'll hardly ever use... Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I like the body kit on the new one, sure you might miss one or two things at first but you'll get use to them not been there

Slightly off topic, but it's not 75% of the extra power, it's 75% of max power. 75% of 190 = 142.5 hp available at 2000 rpm. Or the same as the TD4. So you have to be a) throttle pinned, and b) over 2500-3000 rpm to feel the benefit. Either way, you'll love having a special edition, they do look well ![]() Family's: 2009 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Auto, Stornoway Yorkshire - God's County |

I said what I meant, don't know where you got your calculations from, we're talking power and not torque.

I actually did that on knowledge, and my failure was comparing it with the new TD4 engine without looking at the curves. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

not all seats have the seat brackets on the metal frame, yes this can be added but at what cost? if your seats have the frames easy peasy A chap in Holland or Belgium spent a tidy sum getting the frames added in order to fit genuine LR armrests/elbow bangers. I have them in the RRS, I fold them up and use the center box armrest, Annoyingly Mrs G folds the damn things down again ![]() ![]() At home ![]() "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |
