Freelander 2/LR2 Profile

I have tonight added the infamous vehicle profile section to Freel2.com Cool

  • When registering for the first time, or when editing your Profile, you will now see a new section:

  • Simply fill in the form fields one by one (all the fields must be filled in for the profile to work correctly)

    Model (Freelander 2 or LR2):

Model Year (starts in approximately September in the previous year):

    Engine:

    Gearbox:

    Specification:

    Body Colour:

  • Scroll to the bottom and press Submit to save the information:

  • With all this information entered, you will gain a colour-coded icon under your information block next to forum posts:

If you hover over members' icons with your mouse pointer, a summary of their Land Rover's specification will appear:

  • Your Freelander 2/LR2 icon will also appear on the Members Map in place of the standard green marker:

That's it! Any problems or questions let me know Smile

Colour options could do with updating. Mine (Ipenema Sand) and, I suspect, some others aren't there. Brian

Well done Brian - it was November '09 when I asked for an update to include latest colours (in our case Ipanema Sand) and models (in our case "Newport).

For a website that attracts international members the profiling has been very Anglo biased. There's a world of global members out there Martin Idea

CG your objectionable comment reflects what a simple minded buffoon you are. There are many "foreigners" on here that contribute their knowledge and experience (which greatly exceeds your substantive inputs) to ensure that Freel2 reamins a sound database and knowledge platform for FL2/LR2 owners.

Without their inputs this forum would indeed be an impoverished place left to the miscreant meanderings of your scones, drink driving and vanners' parodies.

My thanks go to the likes of Alex, Lars, and the many others too numerous to mention from the EU, America, Australia and Scandinavia - well done, and may cultural diversity remain here on Freel2.

Jan 2010 actually: http://www.freel2.com/forum/post55578.html#55578 (not that that's an excuse)

Good God, I'm sorry I committed the dreadful crime of missing your post, would have been easy to give me a nudge rather than a kicking 15 months on! There's no conspiracy against the rest of the the world, I think you're being just a touch dramatic... Wink

Ipanema Sand is now an option, as are Kosrae Green and Tangiers Orange which were also missed. Just let me know any other missing colours and I'll add them ASAP.

Not seeking to redeem my chronology however I did refer to this colour and model profile issue a number of times in different threads in late '09 and since that time (yes in also in Jan'10) whenever the subject arose in a thread.

it is much like the missing postings recently when a lengthy discussion took place on The Doctor's thread re Libya. I informed the moderator which I perceived to be the correct channel of communication (rather than the site owner) that it was missing and he gave me the assurance that he would pass the report on to you. That was also the case re Ipanema Sand and Newport.

However, water under the bridge, and congratulations on the update. Appreciated.
