Wales 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Baltic Blue
SD4 rear spoiler???

This on ebay... Genuine Land Rover Freelander 2 Rear Roof Spoiler - LR002464

Helpfully the seller has included drop-down menus to allow you to check compatibility with your particular model of car. Interestingly it says that this spoiler is NOT compatible with an SD4 model...
I thought that there was only one style of spoiler for the Freelander 2 and it would fit all FL2 models...is the SD4 body different in some way to the TD4 (which this spoiler IS compatible with) ???

The body is exactly the same, he/she's just omitted to include the SD4 on the list.

Hmmmm... it's not that the SD4 is overlooked. If you select SD4, you get a specific response:

"This item does not fit Land Rover Freelander 2 2011 FA_ [2006-2012] SUV 2.2 Sd4 4x4"

Other variants (TD4 etc) also return specific, but positive, responses indicating compatibility:

.... so I'm still left with the impresssion that the SD4 is different in some way... ...

It's only giving you a specific response to what you inputted in the drop down boxes and it interrogated the database list and found it not there.
I inputted a 'Buick Century' and exactly the same response came up as expected.

Yes, the SD4 is missing from the list and it comes back with the stock answer.
I have EMailed the seller for a response as the body of the SD4 is no different than any FL2 where a spoiler fits.

All Freelander 2 bodies are the same, unfortunately eBay isn't that up to date with it's vehicle compatibility records. So when we uploaded the item 2011 wasn't available on the list to select.

SD4 rear spoiler???

Mine is Genuine L/R spoiler of a wrecked freelander 2, local body shop fitted it no problem
(properly better than L/R ..? )

Does not go faster, or corner better, but finishes off the back nicely .. and its black like the car ..!! Thumbs Up Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )
Sd4 and chrome Ar*e piece, Auto box for best fun
