O/S Wing Mirror replacement

Anyone help me.
Some... Censored Idiot...hit my wing mirror on a country lane last night.
After my initial annoyance and how it's going to ruin my christmas (ok it won't but didn't feel like it last night. Oh the drama).
Anyone know if I need to replace the whole thing? It seems only the glass and the outer casing is broken. The motor and the puddle light seem ok.
I've scanned the usual site and can only pretty much find one with the casing on for £130! Can't find the casing sold separately anywhere. Anyone know where I can get one. Do I need to go to a dealer or do I just swallow it and replace the whole lot?
Thanks in advance. I doubt I'll get a reply before Christmas but I wish you all the very best Christmas and a happy new year.

Think you will find on your particular year, the back is fixed, so it's a complete mirror, but you might get away with fitting a pair of complete, top and bottom covers and the glass, but by the time you've got the bits, had them painted a complete mirror could work out cheaper

I feel your pain. I moved over to give a coach room and something rather more solid than the hedgerow cracked the rear casing on my passenger side mirror.

Have found prices for a complete heated, powerfold mirror unit with puddle light over £280 so I haven't rushed into replacing it, nor have I been a good enough boy to expect one under the tree tomorrow!

Don't let it spoil your Christmas though! Have a very merry one!

(Edit) I did explore the OEM covers you can buy but was unhappy with the fit so didn't bother.

Don't know if these are any good, but you may have lost to much of your backing for them to fit.

Thanks lads
I think you're right it's the complete unit that needs replacing. I've swallowed hard and bought the one on fleabay for £130 (Merry Christmas credit card).
You only realise how much it's used when it's not there. I always to an over the shoulder "lifesaver" glance when pulling on to a motorway. A habit from being a motorcyclist. But craning your neck around in this thing to make sure you're not going to take anything out when changing lanes is something else.
Merry Christmas all.
