Tail gate lock not opening

Tail gate lock

Hi
I don't know if i'm missings somthing simple, but i can't open the tailgate from the latch. It opens ok from the key fob and when bothe dashboard buttons are presed at the same time for 3 seconds.

My car is set to open all the doors on the first press of the open button on the key fob BTW.

Any ideas?

Oh and you can hear the latch contacts clicking.

Plenty of threads on here about that problem, it will be water ingress so either clean or replace and it is a cheap repair.

Thanks for the advice. I've searched this issue as advised and got great results.

Broken clip

Sad

Hi when removing the lower trim panel on the tailgate I noticed one of the trim clips was broken.
Landrover say that these only come complete with the panel At £80 which i find hard to believe.

I think the clip was broken last year when I had a new rear screen

Can anyone identify this part for me please. a part number would be great.

Thanks

Thanks, Thats them
Glad to report tailgate working now, just cost £31 from Stafford Landrover. I could have got the switch slightly cheaper of EBay but needed to get it back together quickly as I needed the number plate lights.

Thanks again for all the help.

Eh? That's a right rip off!
I paid half that for mine and not off ebay either.

Glad it's fixed though Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Someone paid over £40 a few weeks ago, I paid about £23 four years ago, LR have put parts prices up by around 30% recently so £31 is not so bad. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
