Flashing mileometer odometer 2007 TD4

Hi All.. After some help with a little problem that cropped up over the weekend. Done a quick search but couldn't find anything.

its a 2007 TD4 Manual "s"

Long story short. I serviced the Freelander at the weekend, including changing the fuel filter. Whilst priming the filter by running the ignition a few times and a few attempts at cranking, i managed to flatten the batter to the point it said something like "Voltage Low" on the radio display. So i popped the jump leads on from my Audi and managed to get the Freelander started.

Now i didn't notice the flashing mileometer at this point and continued to reset the service light/reminder.

When i turn the engine off the mileometer reading flashes and continues to flash overnight until i start the car again. The display is normal and the millage is recording all OK when the ignition is on and driving. Turn the engine off and it flashes again.

something else that happened today that may or maynot be connected. Fuel light came on so stopped to fill up. Nothing unusual there.. Once filled, i started the car. The fuel light stayed on and the gauge was showing low. It took about 10 mins for the gauge to return to the top where usually this would be showing full as soon as it starts.

All other operations work as expected and the car drives just as it should. No warning lights etc.

Any ideas what this could be before i head off to have it plugged in.

Cheers, Lewis

you could try removing the battery leads for 10 mins so it resets every thing worth a try and does not cost anything

I've done just that.. I'll leave the battery off overnight. Just locked it with the little key in the passenger door. Fingers crossed.

Leaving the battery disconnected overnight looks to have resolved the flashing issue. Ive not driven it yet but started all OK this morning.

Turns out the service indicator hadn't reset as it was still telling me 100 mi service due. Now reset.

Thanks
