2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
Tyres (yawn)

What do LR fit to the 17" rims on Freelanders now that Goodyear have stopped making the (excellent) earlier standard fit Wrangler tyres?
Are they as good? I found the Wranglers outstanding in the snow and more than happy on road with excellent wear. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc
(Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare.
60 000 miles averaging 35mpg

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Izmir Blue
Wrangler

I had not heard that Wranglers were not available now. I had a pair of new ones on the rear of my Freelander, two weeks ago, and no one said anything. Outside i have a XS courtesy car, about 3 weeks old, that has 17" Wranglers. I agree with your remarks about snow and on road performance. Have you heard that Wranglers are finished, or just changing tread pattern? Big Cry

I have the 16" Conti's fitted to all 4 corners. Had no issues with them for road use this winter, had over 6 inches of snow over the last week in my neck of the woods. Conti's have coped easily with that. I’d also say they’re relatively quite for wet & dry road use too.
Not had it off roading yet, then would prob have to change Conti's Laughing Landy has now gone.

Do a Google search for Goodyear Wrangler HP All Weather and there are plenty of company's claiming to have them for sale.
Blackcircles are about £143 per tyre including fitting locally.
Also showing on the Goodyear website.

Tyres do seem to go in and out of availability. Last time I bought some Wranglers my local man had to ring several dealers to find them. (That was 2 years ago). He says the tyres are all imported and seem to come in batches, sometimes just once a year.
As a general comment, don't forget that if you have a spare wheel it may have a brand new tyre on it which may be coming to the end of its "life". I stayed with Wranglers precisely because I still had a brand new one on the spare and so only needed to buy three. No problem with keeping a worn, but legal, tyre on the spare which you may never use anyway!
