Cyprus 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tambora Flame
Rattles!!!

Hi all,

My TD4 GS still has a very irritating interior rattles / creaks which i cannot locate (see my previous postings: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic447.html)

The rattles are high pitched and appear to come from the door area / head lining. When tapping any of the panels they seem to be as solid as a rock and silent, yet the minute you move they start. I think they may come from behind the rear quarter panels behind the rear doors where the seat belts go in - how do you remove these?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Skelly

I had also a high pitched rattle, was hard to locate since it seemed to come from different directions, in the end it were the fixing clips of the roofpanel were the front light unit is located. just a firm knock on the panel and the rattles were over. (cause was faulty fixing of the roofpanel due to mounting of carkit)

to test just smoothly press your roofpanel if the clips aren't fixed properly one can hear the high pitched noise.

Same clips also are used to fix the cover carpet in the car, also just test by pressing.

regards fred.
