This last few days have seen me travelling out to Thurrock/Tilbury on a daily basis...can't help but notice that every Transporter that I pass on the M25 loaded with the (now obligatory) LHD Evoque's on them, the cab doors on the lorrys are all Ford branded, and Ford Motor Company Brentwood written on the doors.

Ford have probaly rented them out as they're not selling as many cars as LR so they have spare capacity |

I believe DHL have the parts logistics contract. Have seen JLR branded artic trailers tugged by DHL tractor units. May not be the case with vehicles transport. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

DHL not only supply the Transport of some parts to JLR, even the Fork Truck Drivers at Halewood are supplied by DHL.

Oh yeah I forgot about Carlson, they are now part owned by CAT Group (Renault) and have part of the Export from Solihull. Some of these contracts change hands every three years and JLR seem to like to have a few different hauliers. Heres my mates truck as I don't do alot of JLR anymore. They are our biggest customer, I've always worked for a small family firm in Kings Lynn. Its the kind of job where most of the mainstream drivers know each other, hence having mates from other firms even though i've never worked there. 2009 FL2 GS 1985 90Tdi |
