Do you hear clicking inside the door each time you press the lock/unlock buttons?

not sure on the FL2 but with many cars the wires that connect to the door fracture in time, obviously the drivers door has most use so this should be the first to go, although tailgate wiring does see heavy use in my vehicles. Before they die completely they will start with poor connection, giving intermittant failure.

I bet my money that it's the door latch. I had the exact same thing happen to me three times now. Different doors. The latch is also the housing for the motor that locks the doors. Time to change it. Sorry. Cuatro Por Cuatro |

Consensus then is that it is probably the door latch that needs changing. Time to visit my local LR man at Hereford Land Rover to get the bad news. Thanks for your help guys, will let you know the outcome. Ralph
